Description
HI-LITE™ pins are the direct evolution of HI-LOK™ pins. For more than 30 years, the HI-LITE™ system has been the benchmark for one-side assemblies in the aerospace industry. Designed to provide reliable installation, these fasteners can be used for clearance, or low interference fit throughout aircraft, from wings to fuselage, in engine fairings, and more.
Composite structuresAs composite applications have specific requirements, and in order to keep HI-LITE™ products at the forefront of the aerospace industry, LISI Aerospace has developed a new range of products with an optimized recess and new coating options.

Features
The HI-LITE™ pin features a shorter transition area between the shank and the first load-bearing thread. This design, combined with HI-LITE™ nuts and collars, provides weight saving compared to the previous HI-LOK™ generation, while ensuring high fatigue resistance.
These fasteners can be used for clearance, transition or interference fit applications. The HI-LITE™ pin provides a precision diameter that accommodates insertion of the pin through the prepared hole to normal interference levels. A wide variety of HI-LITE™ collars and nuts are compatible with HST™ pins, including standard and double-hex collars available for basic, self-aligning and self-sealing applications.

Product Selection
The HI-LITE™ technology is available in inch (HST), M metric (HSTM) and MJ metric series (HSTMJ) pins.
HI-LITE™ pins also come in a variety of head styles to accommodate shear, tension or mixed applications. Protruding heads only require a straight hole. 100° heads provide better aerodynamic performances, while 130° heads offer, in addition, an increased bearing surface for soft material applications. Self-aligning heads are designed for weight saving and optimized performances when installed on sloped surfaces.
